PIM & AI catalog platforms

Lasso vs Emorfiq

Choose the product workflow your team needs.

Emorfiq offers standalone ePIM or connected B2B/B2C commerce, integrations and AI. Compare Lasso for supplier extraction, rich content, image work and the daily product workspace your team needs.

A shared home for your products and AI.

Choose around the work you need done.

Consider Emorfiq

A fit for standalone product management or a broader commerce project combining storefronts, B2B rules and ERP integration.

Choose Lasso when

Choose Lasso for focused product operations: prepare supplier data, improve content and manage your catalog while keeping your storefront.

Two tools. Different starting points.

Emorfiq

Project scope
Standalone ePIM or B2C/B2B commerce with business-system integrations.
AI capabilities
EMA assistance, text, translations, categorization and media workflows.
Data intake
Excel, CSV, XML and API imports with an intermediate review step.
Delivery model
Implementation and development tailored to the commerce project.

Lasso

Project scope
Product onboarding, AI content, images and PIM/DAM operations.
AI capabilities
Attribute agents, source research, rich templates and image editing.
Data intake
Supplier files and URLs mapped to your attributes in working tables.
Delivery model
Start with your product workspace; validate downstream handoff separately.

Compare the product work, then the wider commerce project

Emorfiq and Lasso overlap in catalog management and AI. The useful distinction is which daily tasks you need to improve and who will own the surrounding systems.

A catalog project can stand on its own in either approach

Emorfiq explicitly offers a standalone catalog and integrations alongside stores on other platforms. Keeping your storefront therefore does not decide this comparison. Its wider proposition becomes relevant when product work must connect with B2B rules, orders and ERP operations under one delivery partner. Consider Lasso when your immediate deliverable is a reviewed supplier batch, richer descriptions or a shared product workspace. Define that boundary first, then compare the people, configuration and integration work needed to deliver it.

Test the supplier handoff before comparing polished descriptions

ePIM documents spreadsheet, XML and API imports, supplier attribute mapping and a feed review stage before catalog acceptance. Lasso puts supplier files and URLs into working tables, with document extraction, typed attributes and unit standardization. Both approaches address inconsistent inputs. Use your actual supplier material to distinguish them: which fields arrive correctly, what needs configuration, and how do you resolve an ambiguous value without hiding it? Lasso is worth evaluating when reading source documents and reviewing enrichment are a large part of your team’s workload.

Ask how the team directs and reviews AI

Emorfiq describes AI for text, translation, images and categorization, with EMA assisting daily administration and API access for your own agents. AI alone is not a reason to switch. In Lasso, evaluate attribute instructions, reusable rich content templates and AI Activity, which exposes instructions, sources and recorded steps. The practical question is whether your editors can explain and correct a result, then repeat the task on the next supplier batch. Ask both vendors to demonstrate that loop using an incomplete product rather than a prepared showcase.

Pilot one supplier, two markets and one downstream handoff

Keep the sample small enough for your product team to inspect every result. Use the same source material and acceptance rules in both tools.

  1. Map a deliberately awkward supplier batch

Choose 20–30 products with variants, an Excel or XML feed, PDF technical sheets and images. Include conflicting units, a duplicate code and missing values. Agree the target attributes and product identifiers. In each tool, record which inputs are accepted directly, which need preparation, and how a reviewer accepts or rejects supplier values before they enter the catalog.

  2. Review AI results in your target languages

Request three missing attributes, descriptions in your target languages, and two image adjustments using your terminology and brand rules. Leave one fact unsupported in the source material. Have an editor check evidence, translation consistency, layout and image fidelity, then correct and rerun a result. Record review time, configuration effort and usage charges rather than judging only the first attractive output.

  3. Prove field ownership and the return trip

Send the accepted sample to a test store or staging import. Decide whether ERP, ePIM or Lasso owns each field; keep prices and stock with their agreed source. Change a supplier value and test the next update, duplicate prevention and recovery from a rejected record. Ask who maintains mappings and monitors failures, then compare the complete pilot scope and ongoing responsibilities in the proposals.

A few useful answers.

Would choosing ePIM mean replacing our existing store?

No. Emorfiq explicitly offers the product catalog and integrations separately, including use with third-party storefronts. Compare a standalone ePIM proposal with the product work you would put in Lasso. If the same project also needs a new checkout, B2B customer rules or order integration, include those requirements in a separate workstream. Keeping your store is compatible with both approaches; the decision should follow the catalog workflow and the integration responsibilities you actually need.

Does Emorfiq already offer the AI tasks Lasso handles?

There is substantial overlap: Emorfiq describes content generation, translation, image work and categorization, alongside EMA and access for external agents. Evaluate Lasso for the way product editors set attribute rules, reuse templates and inspect sources and execution details in AI Activity. Availability also matters: Lasso’s visual workflow builder is marked coming soon. Base a purchase on the available extraction, enrichment and catalog tools, and ask for a demonstration of any automation that your project depends on.

What should we check beyond importing product names and descriptions?

ePIM documents multiple category trees, variants, sets, product relationships, media attachments and completeness approvals. Use a real assortment to establish which structures your project needs. Check how editors distinguish a shared value from a variant-specific one, assign a technical sheet, and find an unfinished product. In Lasso, compare the same tasks against its attributes, product records and working tables. A clean sample import does not establish that the full catalog model or approval process will fit your team.

How should a multilingual catalog affect the decision?

Ask for more than a translated paragraph. In ePIM, Emorfiq describes market-specific product data and access at market level. Define which values stay shared and which differ by country, then test terminology, parameter values, missing translations and local review. In Lasso, test language-specific attributes and enrichment instructions on the same products. Include one later correction to the original data so you can see who must update the translations and how unfinished work stays visible before publication.

Could Lasso prepare data for an Emorfiq catalog?

Treat this as an architecture to validate. Dirigos documents API and file-based integration options, while Lasso supports preparing and exporting product data. That does not establish a ready-made Lasso–Emorfiq connector. Agree stable identifiers, field ownership, media delivery and update rules before implementing a handoff. A useful division could place supplier extraction and enrichment in Lasso, with accepted product data managed in ePIM. Prove the exchange and one subsequent correction before relying on it operationally.

How do we compare pricing, implementation and ongoing changes?

Emorfiq publishes commerce project entry figures from CZK 450,000 plus CZK 20,000 monthly; these are not a standalone ePIM tariff. Its implementation process includes a requirements study and a scoped proposal. Request a quote for your catalog, integrations and AI use, then compare it with the Lasso subscription, usage and handoff work your pilot requires. Ask which changes editors can make themselves and which need delivery capacity. Compare the same scope rather than inferring a price advantage from unlike packages.
