Enterprise product-data optimization for search and discovery.
Data quality
Standardization, deduplication and filling missing attributes.
Content work
Multilingual product copy, channel content, image analysis and post-processing.
System role
Enrichment integrated with existing PIM and enterprise systems.

Lasso

Main job
Team workspace for onboarding, enrichment, content and catalog management.
Data quality
Typed attributes, units, validation rules and source-backed research.
Content work
Rich descriptions, reusable layouts and editable product images.
System role
Standalone PIM/DAM workspace or an enrichment layer beside your PIM.

Choose the way your team will improve product data

Frontnow Enhance and Lasso overlap in enrichment, supplier information, and content. The useful distinction is how the work fits your systems and who controls the result before it reaches a shopper.

Separate catalog preparation from shopping advice

Enhance prepares product data for discovery; Frontnow’s Advise widget brings recommendations into the customer journey. Those are different deliverables, even when bought from one supplier. If your immediate problem is customers choosing between products, include the shopper experience in your evaluation. If the backlog is incomplete specifications and unpublished listings, test the preparation process first. Lasso is worth evaluating for the people maintaining that catalog: working batches, category schemas, reusable content, and a shared product record. Agree which part of the journey the purchase must improve.

Compare the evidence behind a value, not only the finished copy

Frontnow describes extracting information from manufacturer sites, data sheets, and manuals, plus analyzing product images. Supplier research is therefore a real overlap. Lasso gives your team attribute instructions and AI Activity with available sources, steps, and recorded inputs for new enrichments. Test that control on a disputed dimension or a near-identical variant. Ask both suppliers to distinguish a sourced fact from an inferred attribute and show how an editor rejects it. Choose Lasso if this inspection and correction process fits your daily work better, rather than assuming extraction is unique.

Decide where approved content will live and change

Frontnow positions Enhance as an enrichment and content layer alongside an existing PIM, CMS, or store, with human QA and multilingual outputs. It deserves consideration when improving that established stack is the main project. Evaluate Lasso when your team also wants to maintain products and assets in its own PIM/DAM workspace and build reusable rich descriptions there. Compare one later specification change, not just the initial generation. Lasso’s visual workflow builder, supplier portal, and product analytics are planned; base this decision on available catalog work, attribute instructions, and batches.

Follow a supplier update all the way into discovery

Start a free Lasso account and request an Enhance evaluation with the same sample. Keep data preparation, publishing, and shopper-facing performance as separate things to verify.

  1. Use a category where variants are easy to confuse

Choose 15–20 products with manufacturer identifiers, a supplier sheet, manuals, and photos. Include a regional variant, an inconsistent unit, and a specification that cannot be established from the supplied material. Define the target schema and permitted evidence. Compare product matching, normalization, missing values, and the evidence an editor can inspect. Record which outputs were extracted and which were inferred before requesting marketing copy.

  2. Review a localized page and a corrected product photo

Request titles and factual descriptions in your target languages, using a structure your store accepts. Include one image task, such as correcting brightness while preserving a label. Let an editor reject an unsupported claim and revise terminology. Compare correction effort, reusable settings, and the exported result in your own storefront. If a rich layout is required, demonstrate its actual sections and media rather than treating any generated description as equivalent.

  3. Change one fact and test the handoff

After approval, change a supplier specification and run the proposed update path. Check identifiers, overwrite rules, approval ownership, and delivery to the existing PIM or store. Ask who implements and supports each connection, how often updates run, and what a failed delivery looks like. Price this operating scope separately from any Advise deployment. Assess search or conversion changes later using published products and your own measurement design.

A few useful answers.

Is Frontnow Enhance the same product as Advise?

No. Enhance improves the underlying product data. Advise is the customer-facing recommendation experience, and its developer guide explains embedding a widget with a Frontnow API key. That widget guide is not an Enhance catalog API specification. If you need both better data and guided shopping, define and evaluate both scopes. Lasso belongs in the catalog preparation comparison: the team imports information, enriches it, reviews content, and maintains product assets. It does not follow that changing the preparation tool replaces your shopper-facing advisor.

Does Enhance also work with manufacturer documents and product images?

Yes. Frontnow’s published product-description article includes manufacturer documents and websites, image analysis, and post-processing such as cropping and brightness adjustments. These should not be presented as exclusive Lasso capabilities. Because that article dates from 2024, confirm the current delivery scope with Frontnow using your files. In Lasso, test the specific workflow you need: mapping supplier values to typed fields, reviewing missing information, building a rich template, or checking and fixing an image. Compare the accepted result and your editor’s effort for each task.

Can we inspect and approve AI output in both tools?

Frontnow describes human QA and separately advertises audit logs for Enhance AI outputs. Its public articles do not demonstrate every field an editor sees in that record, so request an example of the actual review and audit export. Lasso’s AI Activity shows available instructions, sources, and detailed steps; new enrichments also record referenced cell values at execution time. Test an incorrect variant and a source conflict in both tools. Check who can correct the value and what evidence remains after approval, rather than treating the existence of a log as proof of accuracy.

Can we keep our PIM or use Lasso alongside Frontnow?

Frontnow explicitly positions Enhance alongside existing PIM, CMS, and commerce systems. Its catalog article describes feed synchronization, but this is not a connector specification for your implementation. Lasso can also be evaluated as a preparation workspace alongside a PIM. Using both requires a reason for each layer and an agreed owner for each field. Do not assume a native Lasso–Frontnow connection: prove the proposed exchange with identifiers, field mapping, review states, update direction, and error handling before relying on it in production.

How should we compare multilingual content and rich descriptions?

Frontnow describes multilingual and channel-specific content, so localization alone does not distinguish Lasso. Ask for your terminology, variant names, and required content structure in the actual languages you publish. Lasso offers visual and HTML/CSS templates combining product values, text, images, and repeating sections; existing descriptions are not overwritten just because a template changes. Compare the output your store accepts, how editors correct one section, and how a later specification change is handled. Confirm the exact languages, formats, and reusable layout controls included in the Enhance proposal.

What should be included in a commercial comparison?

Enhance’s product page directs buyers to a personalized demo rather than listing a tariff. Request a proposal for your catalog, languages, update frequency, review process, and required connections. Separate initial cleanup from ongoing enrichment, integration work, support, and any Advise scope. Start Lasso with a free account and use the same accepted deliverables as the basis for comparison, including a second supplier update and editorial effort. The reviewed public material does not establish which option is cheaper or what terms Frontnow will offer your business.
